The Conditionnel Passé / Past Conditional is the past of the Conditionnel Présent / Conditional Present. It describes a state or an action, that are irreal and finished. Regarding the time it is already to late for it.

The Conditionnel Passé / Past Conditional constists of a form of “avoir” - to have - (unmoved) or “être” - to be - (moved) and the Participe Passé / Past Participle.

Reflexive Verben im Conditionnel Passé
Reflexive verbs use the auxiliary verb "être" to form the Conditionnel Passé / Past Conditional.
Example:
Demain j’aurais peut-être déjà oublié les problèmes d’aujourd’hui. - Maybe tomorrow I will already have forgotten today’s problems.
When do you adjust the Past Participle / Participe Passé?
There is no adjustment of the Past Participle / Participe Passé with:
- the auxiliary verb "avoir" > elle aurait écouté - she would have listened
There is an adjustment of the Past Participle / Participe Passé with:
- the auxiliary verb "être" > elle serait tombée - she would have fallen
- reflexive verbs > elle se serait levée - she would have stood up
- complements (direct object) > elle l’aurait vue - she would have seen it
- complements (direct object / relative clause) > la voiture qu’elle aurait vue - the car that she had seen
