There are the following modal verbs in Kurdish:

Modal Verb - Negation

Gerek tu bifroşî. |
You have to sell. |
Ne gerek e tu bifroşî. |
You don’t have to sell. |
Gerek tu nefroşî. |
You don’t have to sell. |
and:

Lazim e (ku) ew çay çêke. |
He has to make tea. |
Ne lazim e ew çay çêke. |
