Conjunctions with Comparative > “than”

After the comparative “di” or “che” are placed in Italian.

che / di	Example	English
che + Adjectives	È più intelligente che intelligente.	He is more intelligent than intelligent.
che + Verbs	Mangiare è più sano che fumare.	Eating is healthier than smoking.
che + Numbers	5 è più che 3.	5 is more than 3.
di + (Proper) Nouns	È più vecchia di Leo.	He is older than Leo.
di + Nouns	È più grande della mia macchina.	It is bigger than my car.
di + Pronouns	È più vecchia di me.	He is older than me.
