In Italian there are two types of superlative:
- relative superlative: il più bello (più / meno)
- absolute superlative: bellissimo (-issimo / -a / -i / -e)

The absolute superlative is formed with endings -issimo /-a / -i / -e. It sounds very “Italian”.
The absolute superlative is translated with: very / super + adjective.
