The Peak: The (Victoria) Peak is at 552 meters the highest mountain in Hong Kong and offers a brilliant view of the city. One can easily take the Peak Tram to the top of the Peak. Alternatively, cheaper but at least as spectacular, is the trip taken with the double decker bus, line 15, taken directly from the metro station “Admirality”. Especially at night this provides a wonderful skyline panorama.

The Tian Tan Buddha: the largest and most beautiful religious building in Hong Kong is the "Big Buddha" Ngong Ping (昂坪) in the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island. It is easily accessible by metro and the cable car Ngong Ping 360. It is especially impressive from a distance.

The double decker trams in Hong Kong (Island) are very special. They seem like a relic from another time in the midst of all the skyscrapers. With 2 HK$ they are a cheap means of transport, used daily by hundreds of thousands.

With the Star Ferry, one can have a very nice commute between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. It is an especially nice experience in the night.

Near the metro station (MTR) Wan Chai, many Hong Kong people like to go shopping. Sogo and the Hong Kong Times Square are just two of the countless great places to go shopping in this area. As with the whole of Hong Kong, this neighborhood is particularly interesting during evening rush hour. Hidden within the small streets, you can find especially tasty restaurants. Very close to Sogo, you can also find the Bermar Hill Express (bus), which travels to the mountains of Hong Kong Island. Similar to the peak, you can see the skyline from here, but there are no tourists.

At the subway station Admiralty is the impressive financial district. Found there is the most famous skyscraper, the Bank of China Tower, one of the landmarks of Hong Kong.

The Temple Street Night Market in Mong Kok, Kowloon. By nightfall, the famous night market opens, where you can find both everything you need and do not need. T-shirts to watches and cell phone accessories are there, everything's possible. Haggling is required!

The Hong Kong Disneyland is yet another way to spend a beautiful day in the city.

In Hong Kong itself, the best way to get around is through the underground. This is very quick and very inexpensive compared to other major cities. Alternatively, there is in Victoria (Hong Kong Island), the tram (2 HK$), which connects the most interesting places with each other. Buses are also very cheap, but one should always ask the locals where to go because there are many bus routes. If you want to go to a place where there is no public transport, you can simply take a taxi. It's not very expensive and it is much faster and more convenient. In addition, there are more taxis than in Europe.

For travel between the two special economic zones, Hong Kong and Macao, there is a ferry every 15 minutes, with a journey time of approximately one hour.

The ifc is the new transport hub of Hong Kong. The major subways connect together here and the extremely fast connection to the Chek Lap Kok Airport (only 15 minutes) begins here. The ferry to Macau is not far away. In addition, there is a modern shopping center with everything your heart desires.
To go from Hong Kong to the neighboring Shenzhen, one should take the metro in the direction of Lo Wu / Luo Hu or Fook Tin / Fu Tian. That is the quickest and cheapest. A trip there is worthwhile, especially for shopping enthusiasts. The area around the station Shenzhen Lao Jie is a must!
