Formation:

Form the 1st Person Plural and substitute the ending -ons by -ant.

Usage:

The Participe Présent / Present Participle is used:

- as a substitute of a Relative Clause or a Causal Conjunction or
- as an Adjective.

 

Concerning the usage you can say:

- the Present Participe never stands alone, it always needs a complement
- if it substitutes a conjunction both parts of the sentence need the same subject, in this case it doesn’t change.

Every person that speaks that language has an advantage.

 

Ending of the Participle:

Participle have different endings - according to their number (singular and plural) and their gender (male and female) - when they are used as adjectives:
